ASPEE College of Home Science and Nutrition was established in November, 1981 with the broad objectives of improving nutritional status of rural communities, raising educational standard of rural girls and all round empowerment of women in general and of rural women in particular by implementing triple mandate of teaching, research and extension activities. The college offers four-year B.Sc. (Hons.) Home Science and Nutrition degree program that has built in rural orientation as per the recommendations of the ICAR. The students are given opportunities of selecting professional / elective courses in four areas and to develop professional competence in the field of their choices. The course outline and syllabi are updated time to time reflecting the changing needs of rural families as well as students to inculcate professional and entrepreneurial skills among students.
