Aneish Kumar is the Managing Director and Country Manager of The Bank of New York Mellon in India. He has been with BNY Mellon since 1998.Based in Mumbai, Mr Kumar leads the development and implementation of the Bank’s strategies for India and Asia with a focus on strengthening and broadening local client relationships across all business lines. He serves as the company’s primary face to the market, the media and clients, including being the primary representative with the regulators and oversees the company’s efforts on employee engagement and talent management. Mr Kumar has over 34 years of cross-functional expertise in banking and financial services. He has extensive experience in various facets of banking- from commercial, retail, corporate, cross border payments, International business and Leasing. He has been a speaker at various International seminars and also guest faculty at the Staff Training Colleges of banks, Indian Institute of Management, Indian Institute of Bankers, Bankers Training College, and National Institute of Bank Management. He has written and published articles in several local and International financial publications on a variety of topics, also an author of two books. Mr Kumar is one of foremost speakers in banking industry on motivation and vision, with more than 2000 speaking hours under his belt. His presentations have been known for cultivating passion in everything one does. His life experiences have enriched his endeavors and given him a unique perspective that he is now offering to the aspiring students, industrialusts and career bankers.
