      Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is a national level fellowship programme in the field of Basic Sciences. KVPY is conducted by Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc), Bangalore. KVPY will be conducted on the 4th of November . Started in 1999, funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, it offers scholarships and contingency grants till pre-Ph.D level to the eligible candidates. KVPY fellowship has a two-stage selection process i.e. Aptitude Test and Personal Interview. Candidates successfully clearing these two stages are awarded the prestigious fellowship. The KVPY exam has three streams: SA-for students pursuing Science and currently in Class 11th SX- for students pursuing Science and currently in Class 12th SB-for students pursuing Science and currently in the first year of graduation

      KVPY Eligibility for Stream SX Students:1) Students enrolled in XII Standard (Science Subjects) during the academic year in which KVPY is conducted. 2) Must have secured a minimum of 80% (70% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects in the X Standard Board examination.KVPY Eligibility for Stream SB Students: 1) Students enrolled in the 1st year of undergraduate program in Basic Sciences namely Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics & Biology leading to B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.M
