The course is a combination of modern and ancient English literature, consisting of three main areas of focus, i.e. Prose, Poetry, and Drama. The course includes literature by not just England writers, but from all over the world, such as Irish, Scottish, Polish, American, and Welsh. Cultural, political and historical contexts of English and linguistics are explored on an advanced level.

Political Science

Political Science gives students the skills and knowledge to work in jobs ranging from being an elected official to working as a lobbyist for a major corporation.Political Science is also a preparatory course for a law degree.

History

4 Years

Integrated MA History is an attempt to supplement the basic knowledge of Ancient Indian Culture in all its parameters; this course provides a thorough understanding of various views of our history and civilization. It helps in encouraging the preservation and management of our heritage.

Economics

5 Years

Integrated M.A is a 5 year course. Economics is a social science concerned with the production, distribution and consumption of goods and services.

Chinese Language

5 Years

The Chinese offers students a structured program to acquire a high level of proficiency in written and spoken modern standard Chinese and in classical Chinese and to develop the cultural competency needed to understand Chinese literature and culture in the changing East Asian and global context. The program’s broad array of courses, taught partly in English and partly in Chinese, enables students to understand Chinese culture by gaining a firm grasp of both canonical and popular works of literature; of contemporary cinema, visual arts, and new media from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and mainland China.

Korean Language

The importance of learning a foreign language in India is one that cannot be overemphasized nor ignore. A lot of people have come to realize that learning a foreign language is one of the best means of enhancing one’s choice of career and prospect of employment.The Korean economy (South Korea) is widely integrated with the rest of the global economy, and India is increasingly becoming a focal point of that integration. There is a rising and tremendous demand for Korean language experts in many international companies in India and elsewhere in the world. The career scope of Learning Korean language in India is stupendous and quite lucrative.

Tibetan Language

5 Years

There are hundreds of Korean companies/ groups that are functioning in India. These companies are operating in almost every sector, i.e. business research, consumer electronics, R&D, life sciences, media, banking, services, etc. Candidates having proficiency in Korean language are preferred in Korean companies as their head Office are based in Korea and they need to communicate with the Head Office on regular basis. With conclusion of CEPA (Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement) between these two countries which came into effect from January 1, 2010, more companies are likely to move-in to India. Apart from Korean companies in India, many Indian companies have invested in S.Korea, like Tata Motors has bought Daewoo Commercial Vehicles, M&M has bought Ssangyong Motors. Besides these acquisitions, many companies like Infosys, Wipro etc. has their branch offices in S.Korea.

English Studies

It is a degree program that furthers the understanding of the English language and its impact. Topics of study often include in-depth analysis of the origins and etymology of the language as well as its global impact.

Indigenous Cultures

5 Years

This course offers the opportunity to undertake independent research and develop advanced skills in Indigenous Arts and Culture. A multidisciplinary course, students’ creative works can take the form of performances, writing, film, video and multimedia (cultural or otherwise). You will be supported by a supervisor and create a final thesis which can be a combination of Major Project and Dissertation.

International Relations
