St. Ignatius College of Education, Palayamkottai was established in 1957 managed under The I.C.M Educational Society. The college aims at the formation of prospective women teachers with far sighted clear vision of the present and future panorama of the needs and requirements for the promotion of Social Justice and Social Progress. The College is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teacher Education University, Chennai. The College is assessed and accredited with “A” Grade by NAAC.
