St. John De Britto College of Education, Thanjavur was established in 2007. St. John De Britto College of Education is one of the prestigious educational institutions, managed under The Diocese of Tanjore Society – a religious charitable organization. The Trust is the fruition of the visionary dream and meticulous planning of the philanthropic Bishop, Most Rev. Dr. M. Devadass Ambrose and the long cherished aspirations of the priests, religious and the laity of the diocese. At present there are 167 educational institutions from primary to higher educational level. St. John De Britto College of Education is approved by NCTE and affiliated to the Tamilnadu Teacher Education University. The College has a diligent, dedicated and accommodating management and a committed faculty to lead the student community in the light of the Gospel values and to make them abide in Divine charity.
