Chundi Ranganayakulu College, popularly known as C.R. College is located on the outskirts of Chilakaluripet near Ganapavaram village beside NH-5. The college has been contributing to the noble cause of Education for the last 40 years. C.R College Committee, Chilakaluripet was registered on 29-12-1967 under Act XXI of 1860, S.No.32 of 1967. The college was established on 1st August 1968 as a result of the efforts of Late Sri Chundi Ranganayakulu, one of the most outstanding Philanthropists of the area. The college has the distinction of producing several renowned and brilliant personnel in their respective professions. The college was initially started with Pre-University Course (PUC), B.A & B.Com courses in market yard buildings opposite to RTC-Bus stand, Chilakaluripet in the year 1968. Within a year, it was shifted to own permanent site where Classrooms, Laboratories, Play ground and other infrastructural facilities were provided. It occupied a spacious campus of 17.06 acres of land.
