Vishwakarma Government Engineering College (VGEC) was established in the month of August, 1994 along with an aim of imparting the higher education in different fields of Engineering and Technology. The college was shifted to its own campus at Chandkheda, Ahmedabad in the year of 2004. It is administrated by the Directorate of Technical Education, Gujarat State, Gandhinagar. It offers Undergraduate programs in the fields of Chemical, Computer, Civil, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation & Control, Mechanical, Power Electronics Engineering and Information Technology and Postgraduate programs in the field of Chemical and Electronics & Communication Engineering. It also offers state of the art campus facilities for their students at campus in which Hostel and Library are included. In hostel they provide excellent accommodation for their students which carries 282 accommodation for Boys and 180 for Girls.
