Govt. Naveen College Pharasgaon, District- Kondagaon with the objective of propagating higher education in the territory, the foundation of the college was laid in July 2008, under Kondagaon district in consequence of untiringeffort made by Late Laxaman Prasad Ji Vaidya, freedom fighter and MLA, Janpad Sabha Kondagaon and distinguished citizens. Named After in found as the new college for Pharasgaon i.e. Govt. Naveen College, Pharasgaon, District- Kongagaon, [C.G.] and the college started with teaching of Art and Commerce. The art faculty was added from acadmic session of 2008
