About College
The College of Education was started in 1965 to train teachers for schools imparting basic education. The college offers courses leading to B.Ed, M.Ed, M.Phil and Ph.D degrees. In the one-year degree course in education, the students are taught methods of teaching languages, social sciences, mathematics, general science and home science. There are advance courses in primary education, adult education and population education. The college has been recognized by the state government as an Institute of Advanced Studies.
