This college, Kirti Narayan Degree College, Lakshmipur Sayat, Raghopur, was established by honoured, lover of education and Saint Shri Kirti Narayan Mandal. Saint Shri Mandal was just as Dadhichi Rishi in the field of education whose bones were used in the formation of the structure of various colleges in Koshi area and all the corners of various colleges filled with the fragrance of his glory. Whatever flowers were offered on the feet of Saraswati (Goddess of learning), T.P.College Madhepura, Parwati Science College Madhepura, Saint Awadh Bihari College Madhepura, B.S. College Madhepura, K.N.Inter College Raghopur, Supaul, K.N. Degree College Raghopur, Supaul and other are on the horizon. Due to Saint Shri Mandal’s iron will-power, economical sacrifice and hard labour, these colleges are in their existence. Saint Krithi Narayan Mandal, the founder secretary of this college, inspired the people and after 22 days fasting in Mahadev Sthan Dharhara he established this college. Having sacrificed everything, he passed away but when we see these colleges, his comparable and fascinating face come into our mind. His name & fame can’t be faded. In this expedition the people of Raghopur were with him. Due to his iron will-power, economical sacrifice this college was established on 18th February 1984. Saint Sri Krithi Narayan Mandal, the founder secretary of this college, inspired the people and after 22 days fasting in Mahadev Sthan Dharhara he established this college. This college is situated in the bank of Koshi River and its past is very glorious. Bhimshankar Sthan Dharhara, one of the twelve epithets of Shiva, is in the radius of 1½ km from this college. Varadraj Perumal Sanshthanam Vishnu Mandir, one of the best temples of India, is in southern side of this college. The sacred grove of Saint Shringi Rishi Singheshwar Sthan Shiva Mandir is in the radius of 32 km from this college. This is a place of paradise. Well known singer Sharda Sinha & Udit Narayan Jha are the inhabitant of this district. Former Central Rail Minister Mr. Lalit Narayan Mishra, former Chief Minister of Bihar Mr. Jaganath Mishra are the inhabitant of Baluwa ‘Supaul’. Nepal is situated just in the north side of this college only at a distance of 28 km.
