This research institute is an active centre of research in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Applied Chemistry with which renowned scientists are associated. The centre is recognised for Ph.D. research in the filed of Pharma, Biotechnology, Quality Assurance techniques and Polymer Chemistry. The major collaborative research carried out by this centre is synthesis of aromatic polyamide-hydrazides and silylcellulose acetate for the desalination of water. It also has collaborative linkages with other research institutes like National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune and Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai. The faculty associated with the centre has published high quality research papers in the prestigious research journals and a number of Ph.D. scholars have obtained Ph.D. Degree from this centre.
