Government Arts and Science College, Komarapalayam (Co-Education) affiliated to Periyar University, Salem , was established in the year 2013, from its very inception it has been committed to provide quality and need based education to poor rural students of Komarapalayam and its surrounding areas. The college is located in the heart of the town in a sprawling plastic free green zone extending to 9.32 Acres & is just 2 kilometers from the Komarapalayam bus stand. Initially it started with 5 U.G Courses [B.A Tamil, B.A English, B.Com, B.Sc Computer Science, B.Sc Mathematics]. In the year 2017-2018, 3 UG courses [B.Sc Physics, B.B.A, B.Sc Chemistry] and 5 P.G Courses [M.A Tamil, M.A English, M.Com, M.Sc Computer Science, M.Sc Mathematics] were started.
