The establishment of Ludhiana ab initio called “Imperial College” was established in 1920. it's created an immense contribution to the educational sphere of the region. Later the name was modified to Government College, Ludhiana. underneath the aegis of the principal A.C.C. Hervey, UN agency served during this faculty with nice dedication for fifteen years (1927-1942), it developed into a premier establishment and ever since it's adult from strength to strength. In 1976 in recognition of the service rendered to the state by its alumna Satish Chander Dhawan, a known house someone, the college was rechristened as SATISH CHANDER DHAWAN Government faculty (SCD GOVT. COLLEGE) by the govt. of Punjab. underneath the billet of terribly ready principals, the school has been serving thousands of scholars for 10 eventful decades and is currently heading for a century.
