About College

Accredited with Grade ‘A’ by NAAC in January 2014, DAV College has, over the decades, carved a niche for itself in the fields of Academics, Sports and Extra-Curricular activities. Established in 1926, the college is affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh. It imparts education in various fields and has been successfully running traditional as well as contemporary courses namely -B.A., B.Com., B.Com. (Hons.), B.Sc .(Non-Medical, Medical, Computer Science) ,B.C.A. and B.Sc.( Agriculture), M.A.(Political Science, Punjabi and History), M.Com. and M.Sc.(IT) besides Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications and Post Graduate Diploma in Fashion Designing.Also,B.Voc in Retail Management,Hospital Administration,Tourism and Services Sector was started as an initiative of National skill qualification framework.Two years ago a new Add-on-Course in Communicative English was introduced to provide our students with an opportunity to obtain an additional Certificate besides their UG Degree.The college functions under the able guidance of D.A.V. College Managing Committee, Hoshiarpur.
