SVD Government Degree College for Women, situated at Nidadavole, in West Godavari district, is run by Government of Andhra Pradesh. The college was established in the year 1983 by the Educational Society of Nidadavole to provide quality higher education to the women of Nidadavole and its nearby villages. Named after Smt. Velagapudi Durgaamba, the college is well equipped with all modern amenities within a quiet and beautiful campus. Affiliated to Andhra University, SVD Government Degree College for Women is also recognized by UGC for putting constant effort in educating the rural women. The college offers several undergraduate courses.SVD Government Degree College for Women welcomes every student to an atmosphere that is conducive for knowledge enhancement. Other than what is written in the prescribed books, the teachers encourage students to explore more reference material so as to increase their knowledge. The classrooms and other activity spaces are neatly structured and feature the required furniture and other equipment which will help students study better.
