MVR Degree College, situated at Gajuwaka, in Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh, is an aided co-educational college. The college was established in the year 1991 to provide value based higher education to the educationally backward people of Gajuwaka and its nearby areas. The college is well equipped with all the modern facilities within a beautiful campus. Affiliated to Andhra University, MVR Degree College offers several undergraduate and post graduate courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce faculties. Besides, the college offers professional course.The college has well qualified and experienced faculty. Many of them are Ph.D., and M.Phil., Degree holders. Members of the staff are committed to work with the organisation to provide and promote qualitative education, which is the prime objective of our institutions. The college has well equipped laboratories, library and other infrastructural facilities.It is the first college to introduce Biotechnology at the graduate level in Andhra Pradesh. Since inception of the college, it has been maintaining discipline, high standards of education, achieving good results and many 1st Ranks every year, in different common entrance tests, conducted by various Universities. The college encourages the students to join in NCC.,NSS., Sports and participate in literary and cultural activities.The vision of the college is to meet the needs of the society,present and future,through moulding the students with highest moral ,ethical values and developing them as responsible citizens.
