Govt. Gandhi Memorial Science College Jammu, erstwhile Prince of Wales College is an institution with a glorious heritage, dedicated to excellence in the field of higher learning.It is affiliated to Jammu University. With enormous infrastructure and reputed faculty, it is committed to provide best possible academic environment to the students admitted in this College year after year.This institution offers courses at under - graduate level in Science and Computer applications and post -graduation in English and Geology. Besides, the UGC sponsored add-on job -oriented courses have also been introduced in i) industrial electronics ii) computer applications and iii) web designing.Housed in an independent block, the college library is one of the oldest libraries in northern India. It has a rich and rare collection of books, some even dating back to the year 1868.The college hostel caters to the need of 225 students and provides all the necessary facilities. The hostel has a adequately staffed and modernized kitchen with a spacious dining hall. There is a common room for hostel inmates providing all the necessary recreational facilities like TV, newspapers and magazines etc. Facilities for indoor game are also available.
