About College
Government Degree College is the co-ed college in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir, India and serves to the people of Kathua district and its adjoining areas. It is about 3 km from the heart of the Kathua city. It runs courses in Sciences, Arts, Firshries, Computer Sciences (BCA) for three years degree courses. The college is affiliated to University of Jammu. During any given year 3000+ students study for the various courses. The selection to the courses is based on the +2 marks. Hostel facilities are also provided for boys and girls.The faculty of this college strives to make an honest, conscientious and sincere effort to incalculate the basic human attributes of truth, beauty and the goodness in the students. This is the largest co-educational institution in the state enrolling more than 3000 students every year. P.G. Programme in Geography is another attraction of this college.The College envisions to become the premier provider for learning, research and innovation in the region fostering intellect, creativity, leadership and character in an active student-centered learner community.
