The Gollala Mamidada Educational Society, under the auspices of Ln. D.R.K.Reddy, Founder and Honorary President, Life Member of Andhra University Academic Senate, established D.L.Reddy Degree College in the year 1991 with the noble purpose of imparting higher education to the rural people at lower cost. It is one of the premier institutions in East Godavari District, recognized for discipline and academic excellence. The college is located at Gollala Mamidada, an absolutely pollution free area. Under the dynamic leadership of Ln. D.Vivekananda Reddy, Secretary and Correspondent of college, has been accorded permanent affiliation by Andhra University in 1995. The college has been elevated to Post-Graduate level in the year 1993-94 itself. The Institution has been included under 2F and 12B of UGC Act and receiving financial assistance under various schemes for the development of the college. The Campus: The College is spread over 16 acres of land surrounded by lush green paddy fields. It has an excellent accommodation with impressive infrastructure such as spacious and well-furnished classrooms, fully equipped Labs for Computer Science, Chemistry, Physics and English. Open Air Auditorium, Large Seminar Hall, Gymnasium and 10 Acre play field. The college has ample scope for further expansion through construction of new buildings and introduction of new Courses.
