Govt Degree College, Ganderbal was established in the year 2002, Govt Degree College, Ganderbal is affiliated to University of Kashmir, Srinagar.The college is a prestigious college of Kashmir University and is situated on the western bank of Sindh River in the famous Chinar garden, adjacent to the Shrine of famous Sufi Saint Qamar Shah Sahib (R.A). The college formally started functioning in the year 2002, in the building of Govt. Physical College Ganderbal, but has now been shifted to the new three storey building which was inaugurated on the 5th December, 2009 by the Chief Minister jenab Omar Abdullah Sahib.
