About College

Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri was emerged in the year 1932 as a medical school named “Jackson Medical School” under British Government. After Independence, The West Bengal government turned down the medical school to change it as one of the pioneer Pharmacy training center in the year 1949 and later in year 1954 due to the effort of the then Chief minister of state Dr.B.C.Roy, the institute changed to be one of the very first pharmacy training center in whole India. Since its time of inception the college has turned out to be one of the best pharmacy college offering four years of Bachelor programs in pharmacy. Many of the students from this renowned college have spread their excellence and credibility in every nook and corner of the very reputed field of pharmacy.
