Bandwan Mahavidyalaya started its voyage on 13.08.2010 under the University of Burdwan and now it has reached into a fledgling stage through generous help and active co-operation from the local people who donated their valuable land and money ; as well as spontaneous positive responses from Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University. It has been situated in the most backward place of Jungle Mahal area, with a view to promote the advancement and dissemination of knowledge. Students are considered to be the backbone of any educational Institute. Bandwan Mahavidyalaya has been conferring excellent education in an encouraging environment and is also provocative to spend equal attention to the all round improvement of the students.
