Established in 2004 and for the first time in Gujarat it offered a full four year degree course – Bachelor in Optometry [B.Optom]. Nagar School of Optometry set the standards for optometric education and research in Gujarat. From the year 2009 Master of Optometry [M.Optom.] started in Nagar School of Optometry. Nagar School of Optometry is managed by Nagri Eye Research Foundation Trust of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. Nagar School of Optometry is attached with Nagri municipal eye hospital. The college provides excellent educational facilities like well-equipped laboratories, audiovisual equipments in every lecture halls, clinical and optical exposures.
