GCC is known as Government Commerce College, Gandhinagar. It is Affiliated to Gujarat University, Ahemedabad. It is UGC recognised under 2f and 12b. The college is supported by the department of education. The Commissionerate of Higher Education and other Government Organisation supports the college for academic development. Starting from academic year 2008-2009, The college has established Digital English Learning Lab with the support of Commissionerate of Higher Education in the interest of students. In 2007-2008, Our student has owned a Gold Medal in Third B.Com Degree in "Banking and Finance" subject from Gujarat University.
