In order to create technical awareness among the students and to impart technical education and enrich their knowledge in the year 1998 Govt. Polytechnic Takhatpur has been started. The institution started with course name Diploma in Mechanical Engineering in 1998 and after 9 years in 2007 Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering has been started. At present above trades are being run in the institution which are recognized by AICTE.
