The Dairy Science College, Kalaburagi is a second constituent college of Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University, Bidar was established in the year 2008 as per Prof. Nanjundappa report for redressal of regional imbalance of backward taluks of Karnataka State. It is located in Mahagaon Cross about 28 KM from the Kalaburagi city on Kalaburagi to Bidar Road. with an objective of catering the need of manpower to Dairy and Food Processing Industries in the country. The College comprises of five Departments namely, Dairy Technology, Dairy Chemistry, Dairy Microbiology, Dairy Engineering and Dairy Business Management.
