Dr. N. R. Shastry Government Ayurvedic College is located in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. It is established in the year 1942 and recognized by Government. It is joined with NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada. They provide a degree course in Ayurvedic extending over a period of 5 1/2 years. The Degree is awarded after successful completion of the course. Candidates seeking admission to the 1st year BAMS course must have passed the PUC Examination conducted by the Osmania University/ Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad or an equivalent examination of any other recognized university or institution with Physical & Biological sciences.
