About College
Govt. Model Science College, a premier institute of science teaching and research, has a long and glorious history of 100 years. Prior to its formal establishment in 1961, it was known as Victoria College, which bifurcated into two centers of education a science college and an arts & commerce college. The college is situated in an urban locale, spreads over an area of about thirty-two acres on Gwalior Jhansi road. Its magnificent campus endows it with a place of pride among renowned institutes. Recognized under 2f and 12b of the U.G.C., it is a government-funded institution. Taking cognizance of the institute’s great strides in the sphere of education the Govt. of M.P. conferred on it the status of a model college in the year 1985.
