Andhra Lutheran College of Education, Guntur was established in the year 1950. It is a Minority Aided Educational Institution. The Government of Andhra Pradesh issued Permanent Minority certificate on dated: 27-7-1999. The Andhra Lutheran College of Education is a part and parcel of Andhra Evangelical Lutheran Church, Guntur Registered under the societies act. The Andhra Christian College secured affiliation to the B.Ed. standard in 1950 and since then the B.Ed. functioned as one of its departments of instruction, in view of the growing educational needs of the country. The Andhra Evangelical Lutheran Church decided to put the B.Ed. on an independent basis in order to help community. Accordingly affiliation was secured in 1965 for a separate training college, which is now located in the Uhl Oswald compound, Brodipet. The Andhra Lutheran College of Education offers one year Post-Graduate course leading to the Master’s Degree in Education from the academic year 1972 – 73 .
