About College
Damdama College was established with the mission of providing higher education to the aspiring students of the area over the years, the College has been fulfilling this objective through the courses prescribed by the University of Guwahati for UG classes. But, with the changing socio-economic demands of the nation, the college has decided to implement certain self-employment generating courses like Pisciculture, Horticulture, and Floriculture etc to supplement and address the requirements of the local society. Damdama College was established with the mission of providing higher education to the aspiring students of the area over the years, the College has been fulfilling this objective through the courses prescribed by the University of Guwahati for UG classes. But, with the changing socio-economic demands of the nation, the college has decided to implement certain self-employment generating courses like Pisciculture, Horticulture, and Floriculture etc to supplement and address the requirements of the local society. Apart from the formal contents of the syllabus, the faculty members of the college has decided to render voluntary services to equip the students and the youths of the local area in skilled professions such as reporting, social work, community services and entrepreneurship. The College has collaborated with the State Institute of Rural Development and the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, Beltola, Assam to provide students the necessary know how on the eligibility, and the selection criteria of Banks and other financial institutions for loans and assistance.
