K. R Desai Arts & Commerce College is situated opp. PTC, Dahod Road in Jhalod town. Jhalod is a taluka (tehsil) place in Dahod district of Gujarat, bordering Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Dahod is an identified tribal district of Gujarat. Jhalod is very well connected by road to all the other parts of the state as well as the country. The nearest railway station is at Dahod, only 32 kms from Jhalod, having train facility to connect to all the major cities of India. The nearest airport is at Vadodara. The college holds a special value as it has been catering to the higher education needs of majority of the tribal students since its establishment on 15th June 1990. It is a grant-in-aid co-educational institution. It is managed by Jhalod Vidya Samaj Trust. The college has been affiliated to Gujarat University, Ahmedabad and has been transferred to newly established Shri Govind GuruUniversity, Godhra for semester I & II. The college will be fully affiliated to Shri Govind GuruUniversity, Godhra in 2018-19. Â It has been offering Under Graduate courses in Arts (B. A.) and Commerce (B. Com.) faculties. The main subjects being offered for UG are Accountancy in Commerce and Economics, Hindi and Gujarati in Arts. It has also been offering Post Graduation (M. A.) with Economics and Gujarati. The college has a very good and adequate infrastructure with all the amenities necessary for the academic as well as all round development of its students. Â
