The Government Degree College,Kanigiri was established in 1983 vide Proc.Rc No 221/KI-2/83 of Directior of Higher Education,Andhra Predesh.Previously,the students of this area was forced to distant places ie Ongole Nellore Vijayawada,Kurnool,Kadapa,Hyderabad etc,for persuasion of their higher education,after +2 education with a Campus.. The College has a beatiful campus in 16 acres of land with 20 class rooms in 5 blocks,Library with Reading Room etc..
