Shri P N Pandya Arts, M P Pandya Science and Smt. D P Pandya Commerce college, Lunawada is an institution established with a vision of service and education to the humble people of the area. The college is one of the first two college in importance and fame in the district. Lunawada is a centre of secondary and higher secondary education including science stream. The college caters to the needs of Arts, Science and Commerce stream students of the region. Lunawada is situated between Godhra and Modasa on Mumbai Delhi National Highway No-58. A Former princely state is now head-quarter of Mahisagar district from 2014. It has river Mahisagar 8 kms to its north and river Panam 1 km to its south. To its north is kaleshwari, 12th century archeological site.Lunawada region is rightly known as mine of teacher's as Primary, Secondary school teacher's, hail of this region from Higher secondary schools, high school are available at the doorstep Agriculture, Govt. jobs, business & labour are the source of livelihood. A degree college with Arts, Science and Commerce faculties. ITI, Polytechnic, Nursing, B.ed college etc. Lush green hills forests is rich with bio-diversity. kadana and panam canal irrigate the agricultural land and the kadana dam waters produce hydro-electricity. The institute has played a vital role in providing higher education at their doorstep to the people of the region. It has passed through several economic crises. It was founded with very meager resources in 1966. During its first 26 years it functioned in three different buildings in different time in the town of Lunawada. It was shifted to its own campus in 1992.
