SPT Arts & Science College, Godhra GODHRA, GUJARAT ESTABLISHED 1960 HomeAbout Us About Us S.P.T. Arts & Science College, Godhra is affiliated to Gujarat University. It does not have separate departments for different subjects and consequently no separate departmental resources particularly for the Arts faculty. The College was initially started for the graduation programme. We have at present 8 subjects offered to students as Principal subjects. Functional English, Sanskrit and Hindi are available to students only as subsidiary subjects whereas in the Science faculty two subjects i.e Chemistry and Microbiology are introduced as the principal subjects while three (Biology, Physics and Maths) are offered as second principal subjects. Thus, we have six subsidiary subjects. Besides, we have two compulsory Languages, and also one vocational course. In the system of Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, affiliated colleges run only undergraduate courses while the University runs Post-graduate courses. However, the affiliated colleges are permitted to run Post-graduate centers. In our college three Post Graduate courses are also offered. Thus, the college is only a centre and does not have regular Post-graduate departments. The teachers and students of under-graduate and post-graduate courses share the infrastructural facilities equally.
