Khambhat (Cambay), taluka town is a historical and ancient Place situated at the head of gulf of the same name at the place, where the great river Mahi merges into the sea. It possesses with it ancient and medieval history, Pauranic traditions and legends with its several names. It is the terminus of Anand-Khambhat broad-gauge railways line, 51 k.m. from Anand and also connected by the State Transport buses with Ahmedabad (at a distance of 93 k.m in the North), Vadodara (at a distance of 78 k.m in the East) Etc. Keeping in view, the need of the time and the hour after sheer comprehend for the need for education in general and higher Education in particular, Came into existence Shree Khambhat Taluka Sarvajanik KelavaniMandal in the year 1960 established by the most experienced late Shree Shahtri saheb and then after devoted Soul Late Shree B.D. Rao kaka, Number of Colleges, Schools, hostels came under this Mandal umbrella. Presently trustee shri Dr. B.R. Vyas look after the work of trust. Our institute Shree R.P. Arts, Shree K.B. Commerce & Smt. Science college is also a part of this KelavaniMandal was established in 1960. As on today, 700 students pass out from our all stream. The College is affiliated with Sardar Patel University. The main aim of the college is to train the students from getting job in the market. The College is imparting best teachingand also the practical training to the Students. It also conducts co-curricular activities. At present with a Large Campus and totally academic environment, the institute is proud to be a leading Educational Complex of the region. Theadmissions are imparted to students as per the guide lines of the Sardar Patel University on merits. Academic staff Participates in framing of new curriculum at faculty level. Interactive and participatory programmes are regularly organized by the College which provides opportunities to students to know and understand each other.
