Government Degree College, Manthani was established in the year 1981 at Manthani, Karimnagar District, Telangana State.Manthani is known for its ancient cultural heritage of Vedic hymns. It is believed that lord Sri Rama passed through this place, on the bank of the Godavari river, while proceeding towards Bhadrachalam during his exile. The main aim of the establishment of this college is to promote higher education in the remote and backward forest villages of Manthani constituency.
