About College

This college was established in the name of Late Kameshwar Prasad Singh, by his only son Dr. Gauri Shanker Sharma as a response to the local need of higher educational institution. Kameshwar Prasad Singh popularly known as “DEPUTY SAHEB” was born in 1905 in a peasant family. Later in his life he joined freedom struggle and participated in the QUIT INDIA MOVEMENT, launched by Mahatma Gandhi in the year 1942. He was very close associate of Dr. Sri Krishna Singh, the first Chief Minister of Bihar. He also served as DEPUTY CHAIRMAN of Masaurhi Union Board. After independence from British Rule in 1947, he served as first elected head of Village Panchayat, Nadwan from 1952 to 1996. He also served as President of the Masaurhi Congress Committee from 1948 to 1962. As a head of Village Panchayat, he initiated and completed several developmental projects in the area. He established High School at his native village Nadwan. He left us on 18 th August 2001 and we always express our gratitude towards such a great soul whose moral strength still guide us to follow the correct path. This is a Co-educational institution presently imparting Degree level education to both Boys & Girls in 21 subjects of Arts and Science Faculties. The College is permanently affiliated Unit of the Patliputra University, Patna – 800020, Bihar. It is also registered U/S 2(f) and 12B by UGC, New-delhi.
