About College
The college was founded by Sri. Kakaraparti Bhavanarayana Sresti (Late) with the foundation stone being laid on 6 November 1964 by Kasu Brahmananda Reddy, then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. The college opened in July 1965 with 220 students and 15 staff. The founder Principal was S. Sundaram. Kakaraparti Bhavanarayana College (KBN) is the vivacious outcome of a century old, charitable organization: S.K.P.V.V. Hindu High Schools Committee. It is one of the pioneer educational institutions in Vijayawada with the motto " TEJASWINAVADHITAMASTU " ("Let us learn while enlightened ") clearly portraying its inexorable commitment to enlightenment.The College firmly believes in the maxim of Service to man is Service to God, with regard to education, the true pathway for enlightenment.
