Goreswar College is the soul premier institute of higher education in the north-eastern part of Baksa district, Assam.In 2016.The college has been awarded "B" grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council.Goreswar College was established in the year 1974 and situated in the North-eastern part of Baska District. It is affiliated to Gauhati University and approved by University Grants Commission (UGC). It offers Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Mass Communication (B.M.C.) and Computer Application programme at graduate, Certificate, Diploma level. The main objective of college is to provide Higher Education to the society and provide quality education to the students and thereby equip them with the necessary skills and know-how to face the diverse challenges of time. The college is maintaining quality education and ambience. It has all necessary facilities like library, laboratory, medical facility, common rooms, auditorium, Girls Hostel, and sports facility etc. The faculty well qualified and experience in their field of education.
