About Us All Present we have another hostel with the total accommodation of 450 girls .Total expenditure incurred after this infrastructure is more than. Rs. One Crore . Again, We have separate building for Open-air theatre, self-financed computer class- Rooms and Laboratory, rector’s quarters visitors room and a control room. In the initial stage, we had two courses only – Arts & Commerce Arts was an elective course with three subjects – Hindi & Sociology as principal subjects as well as subsidiary and Psychology as a subsidiary subjects only. Later, in the year 1992 two more subjects –English and Sanskrit- Were added to the list. New Course - was also added in the year 1992 with new class rooms and laboratories. Our college has been included under section 2 f of UGC Act since 1998. We have also received UGC development grants. For the first five years our College annual examination result in most Classes were more than 95 % which has been raised to 97 % with more Infrastructure facilities such as a hostel, reading room, library, our own transport And the suitable timings for state transport services bringing our students from nearby villages. If we distribute our students into the groups like hostelite, local And commuters, the ratio seems to be almost the same. We have been doing co-curricular, extra – curricular and NGO activities Since the initiation of the college with an NSS unit. We have a student centre Which makes a time table for the students daily participating in the prayer assembly – better known as Prabudh Sabha with one girl giving a speech on her choicest topic 8 to 10 minutes, one girl singing a spiritual song. Thursday is specially reserved for the teacher where a teacher gives his/her speech for 15 to 20 minutes. We have special notice boards to show pictures, articles, Craft work, embroidery and models. We have a large sports ground. We have held many intra – university sports competitions in our venue and our teams have brought laurels to the college in intra – as well as inter-university competitions. We have arranged many Blood Donation camps where more than 1000 girls have donated their blood till now the help of the NGOs. We have held seminars on Legal Aid to the women, Thalassaemia, Garba and Cultural activities, Indian Health and Hygiene practices, folk – lore, ecology and environment. We have sent our girls elsewhere for such programmes and Seminars and workshops.
