About College
The S.V. Govt. Degree college, Palem, Mahabubnagar (Dist.) was established in June, 1963 to cater the needs of the rural area students. The college is located at interior village at least 35km away from the National Highway No.7 i.e. from Jadcherla Bus Station. The college since its establishment has been providing good education to the rural belt. The Mahabubnagar District is one of the backward districts in Andhra Pradesh in which Palem is one among many villages of the District, reflects the backwardness. Educational cultural and Economical factors are playing an important role for the backwardness of the people. Keeping the circumstances in view the college is established with a definite “motto” and has been striving towards excellence in quality education. To achieve this motto a modest beginning was made in June 1963.
