t is 1st Women’s Degree College of the District. This institution was established in the year 1981 with an intention of catering the needs of women’s education with B.A & B.Com Courses in Telugu Medium with a meager strength of 52 students in the premises of Government Junior College for Girls. This institution got UGC recognition under section 2f, in the year 1983 and 12b, in the year 1991. The college has 1.36 acres of campus area. In which present ‘ H ‘shaped palatial structure of G+1 RCC building was constructed in the year 2000-2002 by the sincere efforts of the Former MP(Rajya Sabha) Sri Rumandla Ramchandraiah who not only contributed Rs 67.5 lakhs from his MPLAD funds but also took the holy task of mobilization of MPLAD funds from other Members of the Parliament such as Rs 20.00 Lakhs from Padmabushan, Gyanpeet Dr C Narayana Reddy garu, Rs 10.00 Lakhs from Sri A.P Jitender Reddy garu, Rs 25.00 Lakhs from Dr. Nariman garu (Delhi).
